A fish can see, smell (taste), or listening?
Im going saltwater fishing, and was looking lures. I've heard of fish smell better and I have to use Berkley Gulp. I've heard fish can see better, so you can use a flashing electronic lure. Then I heard they hear better, so it must obtain a jingle. Which is true?
You said you go saltwater fishing. Why? "Where? The quick answer to your question is that three are correct. Personally I do not like Berkley gulp, but I have personal reasons. Many saltwater fish such as dolphins, barracuda, mackerel, tuna and wahoo are what I call predators vision or sight. The view, run it down and eat. Others, such as catfish, sturgeon, many types of sharks, the drum has a sense very good smell. A shark, for example, can detect traces of blood as small as 1 part per 100,000 or more. All fish can feel vibrations as well, due to the lateral line receptors in most species. If you are in the ocean prefer friend and then pull the bait in the area of the stain or use a friend live bait such as anchovies, sardines, squid, mullet fuss ect … If you want to use an attractor sent try a little "smelly jelly" I've found which is very effective when used in combination with Soft Plastic swim baits.
