That Fly Rod / Reel should I get?

I really want to get into fly fishing, just to do something different, besides the usual fishing with my rod and reel spinning lures, jig, etc. Although I know very little about fly fishing. I know a bit about simple things like which means the weight of the bar and stuff, but I do not know what works best for what. First, what should I stick size (weight). I mainly fish and large mouth bass peacock, and occasionally I saltwater fish to fish no more than a few pounds. But I am also interested in the capture of shad I see very little often in a lake behind my house. Rod What weight would be best for my needs? Besides, what is a good brand affordable for rod and reel, Redington heard is a good brand and cheaper than other brands, but I'm not so sure. And if there is anything else important I should know, please let me know, thanks!

I think it would look of 8 weight to their needs, possibly a 7. Redington is a good brand, but I've heard some complaints of quality and afternoon. Santa Cruz has a line of good value bars. G. Loomis GL2 has a line and I think a line designed for bass. You can spend $ 100 for a bar nothing like functional. The reel can easily spare. The rod and line are the most important investments.
