colorado fishing lakes
Is it true rainbow will keep eating until the lake freezes?

We are talking specifically about Lake Dillon in Colorado. I had a friend who just went there today, in 30 degree weather and grabbed 20 or more rainbows, 4 of which are being cleaned now. That is, the water is almost frozen. It was cold there today. He took an entrance of a river where the water from freezing.

Rainbows continue eating even after the lake freezes. Some of the best Trout Fishing in Alaska to enjoy each year is through a hole when the water gets tough. If you do not ice fish, you lacks some of the more fun and excitement a man can have with trout. They respond well to all types of baits and tackle small issues. We use a prepared commercial shrimp is hot pink. Tips for small templates worms working well. Salmon Eggs Berkley Power baits, jigs with tubes, Bucktails, marabou, and even some flies work very well through the ice. So when the ice on the lake, just let it thicken a bit and then take on the ice. You will be so glad I did. The trout do not like it, but hey! Dinner is served dinner, right? Good luck and good fishing. (Do not forget to Blue Mesa either!)
