Any advice for fishing the grass plains of the Gulf of Mexico in Florida?

Hello, I and my colleagues have been having some problems to find good fish (red sea trout …) in the grassflats cedar key, Florida. We found the sand banks are a little revenue in the tide, but ID Pround nothing. Im wondering if you experinenced fishers can give us a few tips on the trips, an ideal location and the best way to find fish. In general, the use floats / bobbers click clack shrimp. Thanks

Cedar Key! That's my backyard, and the Big Bend area in general. I really like Horseshoe Beach and Steinhatchee and better but the key wacasassa Cedar okay. In the first place to fish for redfish around oyster bars snake key, key Seahorse and almost none of the islands there. Just do not take off in the plane as it extremenly shallow points. Also another good place a little closer, so .. if you start at the public ramp near all the restaurants, go under the bridge turn around in front of every restaurant and out into the stream first (there are apartments on the corner) entry not cut short leave at about the piling and then cut in the (shallow) to go across the stream and there are several areas where Black and red drum catches included the Tressel old railroad, and other JBL and bars. Next Trout exit ramp under the bridge and follow the canal (straight) that cuts between the islands, once cleared the last island on the left, go a little further and then turn south and head to the Crystal River Plant (large plant in the distance) of PVC pipe around Public marked trout reasons. Look for boats. Find an irregular bottom. Also talk to Chuck on the ramp. It's the kind you pay for parking. It's a good guy. E-mail me w / questions. If you want some good redfish can put them in Horseshoe
