Just curious, but what are all the reasons for a horse ball and shake your head?
I hear horses do it just because having fun and just want to show occasionally, or because the flies are bothering them …. Is this true? What other reasons? By the way, the horse does when free jumping.
Very unlikely that flies. That would be a very sensible horse. Usually, they will shake his head but no money like crazy. If it does not happen under the saddle, and it is only when free from jumping or running, fine. There is more than excited. If this happens under the saddle is much more likely to be pain or a problem of temperament. It could be related pain. It is unlikely, but possible. If you are getting the horse investigated (before you must purchase) let the vet know and check back. May indicate against back pain. But I would bet money that usually only a fun box, hot horse having.
