PERFORMANCE NICE – BUT NO BUSINESS

I've been using this sander for 1 year + -:
Here are my comments:

1 – Works fine, the end is right.
2 – After several weeks of use, excessive noise.
(Maybe normal for such a tool)
3 – I repaired one time (under repair).
4 – It looks very nice but not a professional tool.
5 – Within it, you will find just a ball bearing,
the other is a hub.
6 – Very comfortable due to the gelmax.

Finally
S i you need a sander for the home, this is a sander of five stars.
(A little expensive)
But if you are looking for a professional tool, this is not an option.
(Try DEWALT or craftsman pro)

I owned a 10 year old Black and Decker 1 / 4 sheet palm sander I was very strong, very dusty and very prone to vibration. I usually only use my belt sander and orbital sander anyway, but there are those moments in a sander Fourth leaf is still the best tool for the job. So I bought the B & D FS600G (which is the same as this unit, except it has a gel grip and the case no) as a replacement. First I'll start with the good things:

1. This sander is a bit quieter than my old, but not much.

2. Vibration this unit is minimal, but I like the FS600G gel model with better grip!

3. The dust collection works decently, and is of course a big improvement for me as my old sander had no dust collection.

4. It's affordable!

5. A case is always good to have!

I guess what I'm saying is that for what it is, this is not a bad sander.

Now for the few drawbacks …

1. This sander comes with a plastic separate template to be used for drilling holes in their dust collection sandpaper. I really wish there was another way to accomplish this since the template does not appear be useful and / or when the sander.

2. Although quieter than my palm sander past, this is still very high.

3. The on / off switch is in a perfect place, but I wish it were not so flush. Sometimes I have to fiddle around trying to get the thing on or off.

Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of this tool. There are of course more enjoyable sanders on the market but for the price it can not be beat!
