Questions for the next bass fishing?

Ok I'm new to bass fishing and I'm thinking about going on a lake in Pennsylvania in the early spring. Water is quite murky and was wondering what you recommend for pound line test and draws (color and types). Right now I'm sitting on about 8 lbs test and planning on using some dark template brush hogs and pigs. Any other recommendations?

I would go with dark colors like Junebug, pumpkin or watermelon seeds. I guess the water temperature will remain quite cold up there in early spring, not by what is probably looking to fish under the beds. It will probably be staged in pre-spawn mode. I would be the fish drops near the bedding areas with Soft Plastic. And further waste with darker colors more natural. Junebug is my favorite color for this type of water. Good luck
