Help with fishing for Rainbow Trout?

I live near a long stream that leads into a larger lake. The state stocks it with trout. I’m pretty sure they’re rainbows. I need some tips on lures, rods, and bait to use in the stream to catch them. I use a spinning reel. The creek is called Pohopoco Creek. Its in Pennsylvania. Look it up on Google Earth.

#1 Lures – My favorite would be the Rooster Tail. Plain & simple. The 1/8 oz. white Rooster Tail will catch all kinds of fish but specifically targets trout. White is an all-around color for ANY lure, including Rooster Tails. “RT’s” – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_46137____SearchResults

#2 Rods – I like 5’6 light action rods. I found this Crappie rod that fits it perfectly – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98183____SearchResults?ordProd=Y&CMID=BOTTOM_selectitems#itemDetail

#3 Reels – Also a crappie reel, it will be good for trout – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98260____SearchResults

#4 Line – I love Trilene, it’s great when it comes to casting and this line is even labled “Smooth Casting” – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44514____SearchResults Get the 6 lb. in clear.

#5 Terminal Tackle – You need terminal tackle, too. Grab some of these plastic bobbers for live-Bait Fishing – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_52873____SearchResults and these removable split-shots to weigh the bait down – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_16667____SearchResults

#6 – Live bait – Live bait works good, dig up some red worms or grab these – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_19247____SearchResults

Good luck fishing!
