Colorado Division of Wildlife's weekly fishing report – August 24, 2010 Blue Mesa deposit is larger body of water in Colorado. The dam, when full, is 19 miles long and has over 90 miles of coastline. Blue Mesa is known for big fish and it has the largest kokanee salmon fishing in the United States.
