tropical fish advice please?

My daughter has had a tropical fish tank for Christmas. water has been maturing for three weeks and ive Check the pH and nitrate levels, etc. and all seems fine. so you're ready to add some fish. my question is ... How many fish is safe to add to the tank first? tank is 3 feet long 2 feet deep and 2 feet wide. all answers greatly appreciated.

The first thing you need test kit is a master of knowing what their levels of security. You also need some sorta food source is added to the ammonia tank to introduce as food for fish or even a couple of drops of pure ammonia. How fast that the cycles is also dependent on water temperature, the warmer water cycles faster than cold. You know it's safe to introduce fish when ammonia and nitrites are zero and nitrates are at or below 20. Start time introduce fish slowly. Just add a pair, monitor bacteria levels and if you are sure you can enter more than a few others. Add your scavengers / Bottom feeders last time the tank is established.
