BBQ Super Summer Dessert Recipe Collection

BBQ orange slices on the grill

Ingredients

4 large oranges
Melted butter
4 teaspoons sugar

Instructions

No shell oranges. 2.5cm/1-inch cut into thick slices.

Dip in melted butter then place on grill and cook on the barbecue coals for 2-3 minutes.

Turn the slices over, sprinkle the slices evenly with the sugar and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes.

Turn once more so that the sides are down sugar and cook for 1 minute. Serve immediately.

Sweet Grilled Peaches with Mascarpone

Ingredients

4 ripe but firm fresh peaches
2-3 tablespoons melted butter
4 teasp Caster Sugar
4 tablespoons level mascarpone

Instructions

Cut each peach in half and remove the stones.

Brush the bottom of each peach with melted butter and sprinkle with half the sugar.

Cook over medium coals (rounded side down) for 2 minutes.

Brush cut sides (which are up) with more butter and sprinkle with remaining sugar. At the same time (so that the sides are cut down) and continue cook for another 3 minutes.

To serve – transfer to warm serving plates (cut side) and put a tablespoon of mascarpone cheese in the center of each one of Peach. Serve immediately.

Strawberry banana and kiwi skewers BBQ

Ingredients

1 tablespoon lemon juice
Mixed Spice Teasp ground
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 kiwi fruit, peeled and quartered
3 bananas, peeled and thickly sliced
12 strawberries, hull, but left everything

Instructions

Place the ground lemon juice, spices, maple syrup and butter in a small bowl and mix well.

Thread fruit alternately on 4 skewers and brush generously with maple syrup mixture.

Cook the skewers on the hot barbecue coals for 1-2 half minutes per side, brushing with remaining syrup mixture until brown. Serve immediately.

BBQ Bananas with ginger chutney

Ingredients

1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
2 teasp Lemon Juice
½ teasp freshly grated Ginger root
4 small bananas

Instructions

With a sharp knife, cut the skin of each banana from end to end. Place the bananas on the grill over grilled to medium and cook, turning once, for 8-10 minutes. Alternatively, place in pan and cook on a hot grill for 5-9 minutes turning once.

Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine sugar, lemon juice and ginger. Set aside.

Serve – Place each banana on a dessert plate, open the skin to expose the meat, then drizzle each with 1 teaspoon of salsa. Serve hot.
