Are there any tropical fish that look like fancy goldfish?

I love my goldfish tank, but is only 12 gallons and currently has 2 male guppies. Its setup for tropical fish. What fish do you suggest? Also, how do you think a female betta would with guppies?

In stick with small fish in a small tropical aquarium, I would get a pair of wings of feathers and a pair of neon tetras. The only thing might think they were gold and Honey Dwarf Gouramis were small – but can be a bit snappish. If you get the gouramis, they have no other fish to the tank – Since it will have enough room on its own as a pair. Good luck and enjoy! : D

The preparation of tropical fish aquarium before adding fish

Owning tropical fish can be a fun and enjoyable pastime for anyone, especially families who want pets that we are not going to growl or bite children! They are relatively easy to care for and do not need to walk, hairstyle, or picked up later. But as easy as they are to look after there are some things you need to do to prepare for tropical fish aquariums before adding the fish. Just buy one and fill it with water is not sufficient for fish to be happy and healthy in any way. So what should you do to tropical fish aquariums to be ready for their new pets?

On one hand most of tropical fish aquariums have been sitting around for some time or that are packaged in boxes that are sent to your pet store. They are usually very dusty, dirty, even when I get home, if you are accustomed, of course, have to be cleaned under any circumstances. But a mistake that many people do with aquariums of tropical fish is to use harsh cleaners or bleach to get clean. Any cleaner that uses and especially the bleach will leave a residue, no matter how much you rinse and far, and this residue will be very bad for fish. A damp cloth and a plenty of warm water is usually the best for cleaning aquariums of tropical fish, and remember that acrylics can be scratched with a rule of how they can scratch glass, as this scratch. Avoid rags and steel wool pads.

It is also important to prepare your decorations and all the wood to be added the aquariums of tropical fish. Sometimes, the substrate or gravel that you buy will have the dirt and debris, so they put him in a bucket and fill with enough water to cover everything. Give this a stir and let stand overnight and the next day, drain the water and then add, stirring again. Repeat this process until the water is clear and this will tell you that all the waste is gone and now you can add the substrate to your tank.

Of course, add your accessories for your tropical fish aquarium is also important. Want to add your filter and your furnace and make sure they are working properly, and give them a few days to treat the water in the tank, before adding any fish tropical fish aquarium. Even if tap water has added hot it feels it is important that you get an accurate reading of the temperature, and pH levels and other chemical products are healthy for your fish.

If you do all these things before adding the fish aquarium fish tropical and then work to keep it after regular cleaning, maintenance and water control chemicals, they'll be happy and healthy fish.
